Peachhead™ Approved Vacations: Ft. Lauderdale - Lago Mar Resort

We started out our trip to the Bahamas by staying in Ft. Lauderdale for a few days. We stayed at the Lago Mar Resort, which is a great family friendly resort. http://www.lagomar.com/ They have 1 bedroom suites; this time we had an incredible room (room 179) which had 2 bathrooms, a bedroom and a nice nice living room with a fold out couch, a large dining table, and a kitchen. The hotel is on a beach and the hotel has a miniature golf course for kids, shuffleboard, ping pong, life size chess game, playground structure, 2 pools, hammocks, etc. It is a great place to stay with kids. 

Our first day we went to Wannadocity which is by far my kids' favorite place to go on vacation. Check out their site at www.wannadocity.com. It is a place where kids learn the value of money and about working to earn their money and spending it. We spent 7 hours there and my kids could have stayed longer. They worked in the maternity ward taking care of babies, performed surgery in the hosptial and removed a kidney stone, they were in a fashion show, worked in Willy Wonka's factory, worked in the Coca Cola factory, worked in the hair salon doing each other's hair and nails, made their own pizza for lunch, baked in the bakery, and more. I wish they would open up one in Los Angeles.
